Import a spreadsheet into a list
Bring an existing product schedule into Altanik from Excel or CSV.
Supported files
Excel .xlsx files and .csv, .tsv or .txt files, up to 5 MB and 2,000 rows. Older .xls files are not supported — save them as .xlsx first.
Import step by step
Prices and quantities are read in your format (for example 1.234,50 or 1,234.50). Sections are matched by name or created, and images from links are copied into your storage.
- Open the list and choose “Import” next to “Export Excel”.
- Choose the file. Altanik guesses which column is which (title, price, quantity, currency, section, image, SKU, supplier, dimensions…).
- Check the column mapping against the five-row preview. Set any column to “Ignore”.
- Choose the section for rows without one, then start the import.
The report
At the end you see which rows were imported, imported without an image, or skipped and why. You can download the report as a CSV file.
Importing needs a connection. If your plan’s limit is reached, Altanik stops and offers an upgrade.
To add single products from a shop, use the extension or “Add from URL” instead.
